I have been helping a lot of people with flying and driving recently. Why is this and how does it happen?
With travel restrictions changing, many people have booked or want to book holidays to lovely places where flying is the way to get their destination. Most of the people at contacted me about hypnotherapy and flying reported that they have developed a ‘phobia’ around this and are feeling nervous about their journey.
When stress builds up, and this can be gradual or over a long period of time, we can start to feel anxious. This anxiety can show itself in fears such as flying or driving. For the last few years, we have had many messages about ‘staying home’ to be safe. We have taken those messages seriously. Our brain has kept us safe by telling us to stay at home but now things are different and we are ready to start travelling for pleasure or business and enjoying time away. It isn’t really a surprise that our brain is taking some time to get used to the idea of flying again!
Clinical hypnotherapy can help you get ready to travel again. If you have enjoyed flying in the past but are nervous now then we work on reducing anxiety that has built up to help you be a happy traveller again. If you have always feared flying, the we can work together to change your thinking around this.
I help people with hypnotherapy fear of flying at my clinics in Harley Street in London and either Whitstable or Herne Bay in Kent. I also offer hypnotherapy for fear of flying online. Get in touch to find our more about how I can help you.
